EZ 87.7 now the Bridge

Seems that 87.7 has rebranded itself as "the Bridge" but with essentially the same format. Sounds like they are having a few technical glitches as well.

"The Bridge" was kicked around over 2 years ago. WHY??
In Russ's words, because it goes over the river....yeah, I didn't get it either.
The music library was increased, then butchered.
It was 877 FM, then EZ87.7 FM, then EZ87 FM Phones were cut off, stream was dropped, tunein feed gone.
But who knows what other "things" are about to happen?
 
I made the joke to my wife that I liked "The Bridge" over "The River" in the mornings because I like the all music over all the silly talk and conversation. By the way she did not think the joke was funny either.
 
According to their website, it looks like they gave the format a much needed update to compete in the market, and are now a classic hits station.

It will be interesting to see how well they compete, considering they are actually a LPTV station. Many of the newer car radios won't tune to 87.7, and who knows how much longer the FCC will allow analog LPTV to operate before they sunset the remaining licenses.

This issue was "addressed" a few years ago with the idea of broadcasting on 87.5, 87.7, 87.9 ....thus, the reason for the name change, EZ 87 FM. Some said it was acceptable to do while others said it was in violation.
