why so many commercials on busted open when I pay for service

I am a huge wrestling fan (don't laugh its not fake lol), what I don't understand is the weekday show Busted Open has more commercials than actual content. The hosts talk 5 minutes followed by 5 minutes of commercials, its really getting bad and unlistenable. If subscribers have to pay for this service why have commercials, I think this is a rip off and a way for Sirius/XM to make more bucks. I would understand if the service was free, but why even air commercials if your not free...

People pay for cable TV, and they run lots of commercials. Same deal. The music channels are commercial-free. Everything else is fair game.

XM started with commercials on several of its music channels, with most commercial-free. When Sirius launched with 100 percent commercial-free music channels, XM was forced to follow suit, and after Sirius bought out XM (the "merger") the music channels have continued commercial-free. The only exceptions are the two channels that iHeart still provides to the XM side of SiriusXM -- simulcasts of WHTZ New York and KIIS Los Angeles. These still carry ads. Why they are still on XM has never been fully explained; iHeart no longer has any stake in the combined entity and most people expected its channels to disappear once that happened, but the two FM stations are still there eating up XM bandwidth.
