Kimmer mentioned this today, and it appears 106.7 is simulcasting on 92.3.
I thought 92.3 was an iHeart translator...used previously for simulcasting WGST, ESPN Deportes, and that short-lived comedy format. IIRC it has a nasty null to the northeast and doesn't make it much east of Ga. 400.
Radio-Locator doesn't list any Georgia translators on 92.3, and there is a 100W LPFM WESI on that frequency. It has a city of license of Sugar Hill, although it barely covers Sugar Hill (the transmitter is closer to Coal Mountain). Not sure if that's the reason for the null.
Kimmer mentioned something briefly about moving to 92.3. Not sure if that was a joke...although why would Cumulus start a simulcast when the station is not long for this world?
Anyone know anything about what's up with this? Did Cumulus buy or borrow this translator from i<3? Is Cumulus working some kind of deal with iHeart to take over Talk 106.7?
