As a way to keep our radio community aware of the facts, WECK will share news on our company on this site, and of course you’re discussion is welcome.

WECK is happy to announce the hiring of Bobby O. Bob will be handling live weekend air shifts and fill ins. Bob brings over 35 years of on air experience, most recently handing air and production duties at WMSX. Bob started his career at Rock 102 under the name Bob O’Brien.

Bob is passionate about radio, which is a job requirement at a Radio One Buffalo, LLC

Never heard of the guy, but congratulations and best of luck to everyone involved.
 
I worked with Bob when he first started in the business at Hot Rockin' 104 - WNYS. The PD at the time (Bill Tod) gave him the opportunity to work different airshifts at a very young age. Last I spoke to him was back in the 90's when he worked in Rochester at WKLX doing weekends. Good to hear him again - still sounds smooth and loves to hit the post!!
 
I worked with Bob years ago here in Erie, PA at Burbach Broadcasting at what was then K104/K-Hits 104/WEYZ around 1990 or so. He later returned to Erie to work at WXTA Country 98 in the 2000s under then PD, the late Fred Horton.
