BIA Releases the top radio stations by revenue in 2018

WTOP is number 1 as the radio station with the top revenues at $69 Million

KIIS-FM Los Angeles is the top revenue station for Los Angeles at $61 Million.
 
The first sentence of the linked article says that digital revenue is the difference. That is the only growth area for radio. They can't add more commercials, they can't increase their ad rates, so they need to look at new platforms for revenue. WTOP has the #1 local news website in the nation's capital. If you are a news or news/talk station, your digital strategy will be the key to your revenue growth. That's the bottom line. Look at the big gap between the top 2 stations and everyone else. Those top 2 stations are doing something the other 8 aren't.

For KIIS and KBIG Los Angeles both are Iheart O&O's and they have been known to have promoted concerts under the Iheart Music festival name for Southern California though im not sure if thats a factor why KIIS is number 2 and KBIG is 3rd though.
