I'm guessing Mom will become CBS' lone sitcom cash cow. The new shows on Thursday (The Unicorn and Carol's Second Act) may or may not become successes. Going to be a long road for CBS post-BBT...

It was one night. It hurts, and that hurts the average, but they have a consistent lineup overall. They’ll be fine.
CBS said they are open to a spin off if Lorre wants to do one. I wonder how long they can wait before they need to milk the cash cow again. I expect a spin off in 2 years.

There were already a number of first run nights when Young Sheldon beat Bang in total and 18-49. Fora comedy, it was getting long in the tooth.

Sure, they're "open" to it, they'd be silly to say anything different. The two parties have had a long and beneficial relationship. But they're going to be "open" to a lot of concepts. Bring them something that looks promising, and see if it takes off.

“The Good Fight” may not be the only CBS All Access series to get a run on the CBS broadcast network.

The network would be open to re-airing other CBS All Access shows if it helps drive awareness to the company’s five-year old streaming service, CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl told TheWrap Thursday.

“I think the results so far have been largely positive. I think everybody is happy with the exposure that “Good Fight” is getting,” Kahl said at the Television Critics Association press tour, adding that there haven’t been any “formal” discussions yet. “I do think it sets up an interesting discussion place for going forward. Ultimately, I think we’ll judge it by: Do people sign up for All Access to see future seasons of ‘The Good Fight?’ But I think if that metric is positive, then we would certainly be open to experimenting further.”

Here is one in talks though promoting All Access shows on CBS affiliates.
