KHHL 103-1 sounds like the Devil

Something's been wrong with the audio signal ever since shortly after it started rebroadcasting La Ley 95.7. The station is fine but the audio from it sounds like a robot from hell.
 
There is some overlap, but most, if not all, of the overlap is outside of what the FCC considers a citygrade signal.

Of course, 103.1 does nothing to solve 95.7's biggest problem, which is that it really isn't a San Antonio signal.
 
Memorial Weekend is notorious for format flips but I think this will stay a little longer. They've been announcing the double frequencies on air and on social media.
 
And evidently they're testing new/different equipment. Sorry I admit I was over-reactive about calling it "The Devil", however I've never heard any other broadcast station emitting a strong robotic sound in it's audio. If I were them I'd use an FM receiver at 103.1's site to pick up 95.7. But I'm not them.

It's my understanding anyway that KHHL's not high up on the owner's priority list TBH.
 
Alpha seems to have fixed 103.1 now, no more robotic sound and I can hear La Ley normally so that's great work on their part.

Among other things, that would violate Nielsen's rules. Two separate signals can not broadcast audio with the same PPM encoding.
 
LOL sorry I just think that broken transmitter for KWYU 96.9 needs attention.
Whatever the extra money associated with a damaged transmitter's coming out of their checkbook not mine.
Maybe the costs of fixing the transmitter antenna outway the costs of running it with toggling power levels?
