Bill O'Reilly back on WHK

Commentator Bill O'Reilly is back on the national airwaves with a syndicated 15, or so, minute show where he talks about issues of the day. In the case of WHK, they run him in short clips after the top of the hour news at noon, 1pm and 2pm. I've read that he's using the Paul Harvey model, which I agree is accurate. Good day.

Does O'Reilly tell "The Rest of the Story"??!;)

Salem is a very successful broadcasting organization. Its management is guided by religious principles.

So why would this company support a guy accused by numerous women of sexually harassing them? Do they think he's innocent, despite the multi-million dollar settlements Fox News had to pay? Is all forgiven after a few years off the air? Would Jesus do business with a guy accused of sexual harassment if it added to the corporate profits?

Forgiveness is a big part of Christian thinking, and I think that's in play here. Jesus forgave many sinners.

More important than forgiveness, will the program be accepted by listeners and even more important, will the program provider being will to buy the time. Remember, Salem is a successful broadcaster. They are only successful when the cash register is ringing.

I think that Bill O'Reilly's short-form radio show will be accepted by listeners, but only time will tell on that. I wouldn't be surprised that with many Salem stations running the show, there may be an "I'll wash you hand, you wash my hand"- situation going on. Otherwise it would, likely, be a straight pay-to-play program.
