Why? 70s music is going to fade away soon due to demographic reasons. Also at this point its most likely rare that people listen to music on AM radio though. WABC-AM is off the list for music though. It would have to deal with the fact that the money demos are on internet radio, podcasts, satellite radio and local FM radio.
Also classic hits might have to be redefined in the next few years to include 2000's music in the playlists for whoever is left on FM though.
True its whack a mole thread. Every time somebody wants oldies on WABC-AM the answers lead towards WPLJ being sold to EMF to the money demos going towards internet radio and YouTube.
