Excuse my ignorance here but what is pride radio?

I mean not trying to stir anything up or be funny about it. But what is Pride radio? Is it like a radio station that only LGBT community artist sing? Or what? And how many different LGBT bands perform only to cater to them? I know the LGBT is a strong community but can are there really that many different bands and singers that can cater to them only?

I’m so confused here.

...or you could just give it a listen. I enjoy the upbeat, rythmic mix they play.

Why KQBT's subchannel? I think the core listeners of The Beat would be the last group of people to listen to "pride", let alone tolerate it. Second to Mexican soccer fans, of course.

So does that mean that KISS HD is gone also? Or did they move it to another subchannel?

Well there’s the answer for my last thread. :(

I’m glad they now have the opportunity to serve Houston’s LGBT community. But at the expense of Kiss??? I thought this would’ve been on one of the subchannels of KTBZ or KODA.

Maybe iHeart doesn’t want to do any HD-4.

This will be a second LGBTQ targeted station in Houston along with Q Channel on 95.7 HD-2, which displaced the “Energy” dance channel.
