Steve Czaban joins 97.3 The Game

Apparently Iheart was in talks to bring the Bob and Brian show from 102.9 over, Saga matched Ihearts offer so BnB and all the cast decided to stay at 102.9, Both Bob and Brian talked to Czaban daily and within the final days of Czaban's contract running out they were asking Steve when would he send in his contract to Saga, Steve would tell them "not to worry and that he would get to it", that would be the last time Steve talked to Bnb off air. finally Steves agent called and told them that Steve wasn't coming back.

Iheart wanted to the build the station around Bob and Brian and some of the pro PBP properties that WTMJ has, the thought process was that under Scripps WTMJ was very vulnerable, The Bucks radio rights are up now so we will see how vulnerable WTMJ is now under GKB.

I very much doubt IHM wanted to bring B&B over to a Sports Talk station. That makes no sense.

My guess Iheart wanted to make 97.3 into a more of a guy talk and sports pbp station, so getting BnB makes alot of sense. Bob and Brian are number one in all of the major male demos, and they are huge reason why 1029 is one of the highest billing station in Milwaukee.
