Several episodes of Wheel of Fortune from the past couple of years have had the extreme misfortune of getting pre-empted not once, but twice. Reruns are selected arbitrarily for the most part, and episodes almost never get more than one repeat. There are rare cases where an episode will re-air twice, but definitely never more than that unless you count Game Show Network (which only airs episodes between June 2013 and June 2014).
* November 9, 2017: Veterans episode. Pre-empted on most NBC affiliates by Thursday Night Football (before it moved to FOX); rerun on July 6, 2019 pre-empted on all NBC affiliates by NASCAR.
* November 24, 2017: Pre-empted by College Football on East Coast ABC affiliates, which overran; rerun on September 15, 2018 also pre-empted by College Football on many ABC affiliates.
* May 28, 2018: Pre-empted on West Coast NBC affiliates by Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final; rerun on May 4, 2019 pre-empted on all NBC affiliates by the Kentucky Derby and an NHL game. (This episode was infamous for featuring three teams of millennials failing to solve "WKRP IN CINCINNATI")
* October 15, 2018: Pre-empted on KGO San Francisco by a 49ers game against the Packers, episode didn't air at all; rerun on June 10, 2019 pre-empted on all West Coast ABC affiliates by Game 5 of the NBA Finals. This time, KGO aired the episode at 2:12 AM.
* October 18, 2018: Pre-empted on most FOX affiliates by Thursday Night Football; rerun on June 13, 2019 also pre-empted on FOX by the US Open.
* October 19, 2018: Friday episode during NFL season, so pre-empted on WBZ Boston by Patriots All Access; rerun on June 14, 2019 also pre-empted by an offseason edition of the same show.
