Maine-NH-, Saga doesn't subscribe to ratings?

Looking at some of the Northern New England market ratings, and noticed that none of the Saga stations are listed.

Do they not subscribe?

Curious as to how their stations do. I would think WZID would need/want ratings info.

How does WYNZ in Portland do?

Anyone know?

Same in Springfield. I think it's assumed that Saga's WAQY bills well there, but its numbers are never made public. Can stations/chains subscribe to Nielsen and prohibit public release of any ratings, even the "meaningless" 6+ numbers.

No. Saga does not use Nielsen in many markets, and uses Eastlan in some.

We're getting off topic here, I know - but I'm somewhat convinced that at least one of the reasons why Rochester's ABC affiliate changed its callsign in the mid-2000s was autocorrect.

When it signed on in 1962, channel 13 was "WOKR," "We're OK Rochester." But with the advent of spell-check and autocorrect, it seemed to become "WORK" fairly often, at least until then-owner Clear Channel renamed it WHAM-TV, to match the radio station it owned here.

(It's still WHAM-TV, even though it's passed through other owners along the way and is now held by a Sinclair shell company, completely separate from WHAM radio, still in the clutches of iHeart.)
