Keep in mind that neither CBS nor NBC are actually "moving to Washington." All three networks have been there for over 50 years. What's changing for CBS is the anchor desk for the CBS Evening News is moving to Washington. But they already had been anchoring Face The Nation from there for many years, and as I've said, their DC bureau is being completely rebuilt from the ground up. NBC is moving their national news bureau from the historic building on Nebraska Avenue to Cap Hill. They already base shows such as Meet The Press and MSNBC's Hardball from DC. The new studio will give them a better view of the Capitol, nothing else. ABC News has had its DC office on DeSalles Street since the 70s. As I recall, they built it around the time they launched Good Morning America. It was right next door to the headquarters of Broadcasting magazine. They were doing This Week from the Newseum on Pennsylvania Avenue, but that got a bit expensive. I think they found cheaper quarters some place else.
Will they stay there? If any company expects to be a player in news, they need to have a presence in DC. CNN has its studio on Cap Hill, and it's where Wolf Blitzer is based. Fox News is also on Cap Hill, and that's where Tucker Carlson is based, along with Britt Hume and a few other correspondents. The only thing in doubt is how long CBS Evening News will be based in DC. Judging from what people there are saying, they're only planning as far as the 2020 election. Beyond that, who knows? But CBS will maintain its bureau at 2020 M Street, as it's been since the 60s. The business part of all media companies will remain in New York, where they have access to Wall Street and all the other money people.
