Radio Has Hit A New Low

This radio bastard and his iheart bosses have hit a new low.......at the expense of grieving people who have lost loved ones, they try to promote him. They could have done this anonymously and had him promote, but it's all about making him look good and promote that dying show. Thoughts?

iHEARTMEDIA’s “THE BOBBY BONES SHOW” is selling a line of merchandise to help the victims and families affected by the recent mass shootings in EL PASO, TX; DAYTON, OH; and GILROY, CA. The show has teamed with THE SHOP FORWARD to offer the line, which includes “TEXAS Strong” “TEXAS Forever,” “OHIO Strong,” “CALIFORNIA Strong” and “CALIFORNIA Love” t-shirts, hoodies and bags.
Also still available is the show’s “Love > Hate” merchandise, which was originally started following the ROUTE 91 HARVEST FESTIVAL tragedy in LAS VEGAS in 2017. Merch from that line will also now benefit victims in TEXAS and OHIO.

What charities are the funds earmarked for? What percentage is going? The for sale site doesn't mention anything about where the money goes except for the Texas Forever fund and I can't find a fund with that name anywhere.

back at you. you miss the whole point. please read carefully before responding.

No, tell me where I'm wrong. He promotes a charity, and you're upset.

The shirts don't have his name on them, do they? He's not promoting himself. He gets nothing out of it.

Radio stations do this all the time. You just don't like this guy.

I've sat in many promotional morning show meetings where morning shows are told to "latch onto this" and promote the show. You obviously have never done radio promotions or you would understand. He'll be all over it on his show for at least a week of the monthly so he DOES get something out of it. But there comes a time to "pump the breaks" and this idiot doesn't understand that. And obviously neither do you. THAT....is where YOU"RE wrong. Questions? I think we're on the same page now. You really need to educate yourself before you respond as you make yourself look really inexperienced (stupid)
.

What you miss is the same thing applies to any charity, like kids with cancer or unemployed soldiers.

As I said, you're just mad at this guy. You'd be mad at him no matter what he does.

Did not miss a thing. I understand marathons for charity. I've been involved with hundreds of them. I don't understand promoting a 'show" disquised as helping victims. This guy and this show are desperate and they're doing anything they can to make a last ditch effort to make people like him. Look at the new batch of ratings. He's bombed and has since the beginning. Using peoples grief and loss to promote him is repulsive. Not mad at this guy at all. He's kind of a victim himself really. And "mad" is not me. I don't get mad. I call it like it is. You got a problem with that?

Should radio stations stop doing marathons for St. Jude too? Sheesh. Don't help old ladies cross the street because they'll bop you with their handbag.

Do those still happen? I can't recall hearing one in the last... 10 years or better.

They happen on hundreds of stations every year, mostly larger markets and, particularly groups that back the St Jude hospital.
