Aside from the Old Gringo showing up at the Media Hut in Bermuda shorts, other surprises include:

- KOOL coming on stronger, and now tied with KSLX

- KJZZ besting KTAR-FM (and they don't have beans or rice on their line-up)

- KNAI being beat by not one, but two other Spanish language stations

- KAZG getting a 2 share, thanks to BANG 545 era music

- Three HD~Too stations showing up. Now it's safe to say there are more than 12 people who have HD~Too receivers

The two country stations seem to be heading in opposite directions. That's not a good sign, especially since the format as a whole is up this month.

Deservedly so. 92.3 gets more and more unlistenable. Barring Detour Dan's return, I can't think of anything they've got that 91.5 doesn't do better. Even Femino's VTA show has gone downhill.

Detour Dan is back full-time on KTAR as of this week. Great to have him back because nobody does traffic like Detour Dan. He’s the best in the business. Better than anybody I’ve heard currently doing traffic in bigger cities like LA and Chicago. Maybe KTAR should just become an all-traffic and weather station, that seems to be what they do best!

KMLE swapped morning shows with KOOL. I think this shows that KOOL’s problem was mornings, and that the show that moves to KMLE won’t work on ANY station.

Maybe KTAR should just become an all-traffic and weather station, that seems to be what they do best!

All they have to do is replace the R in the calls with a W: KTAW - Traffic & Weather together all day and all night. A brilliant idea, ASU Jorge!

I miss Ed Phillips doing those zany weather reports with his almanac on KTAR. Having him and Detour Dan was a treat in the 90’s and early 2000’s!
