Liberal talk on WTTM 1680?

I've always felt that 1680 WTTM could make a bigger impact if it were to flip and try a new format. I think the Philly market could in fact support a liberal talker as a response to WPHT / WNTP cornering the talk market. WTTM has a great signal in a quiet region of the AM band. Worth a shot.

No, it does not.

The ITU defines the minimum level of signal for comfortable listening in urban areas is 15 mV/m. The WTTM signal at the 10 mV/m does not even touch Philadelphia County, and barely even touches Camden.

At night, the signal contracts to about a quarter of the coverage.
