Rapper Eminem and his publishing company 8 Mile are suing Spotify for illegally playing his music. He claims they don't have a license, and they claim they don't know who his publisher is. He is also claiming that the newly passed Music Modernization Act is unconstitutional, in that it violates the 5th amendment. That's a new one on me. But you can read all about it here:

Musicians have complained about streaming for years. They feel the rates don't adequately compensate artists or songwriters. They also want more control of how their music is used. Its interesting that Eminem is doing this alone, and not with other musicians. Although the lawsuit by The Turtles against Sirius was done alone.
