Cactus Jack Retires From KKBQ

Today is a historic day for Houston radio. Cactus Jack has officially left the building. Congratulations, dad, on the amazing nearly 27-year tenure with 93Q and everything that you've accomplished even before that. You're a legend not only in my eyes but also in the eyes (and ears) of countless other listeners. It's not going to be the same hearing someone else's voice on air where yours has been for almost my entire life. You have always given me a strong example of work ethic and humility, and for that and many other things I will always be grateful. Enjoy retirement, you've earned it.

Prior to Houston Cactus Jack did host a show for Z100 New York.

He is a legend in NYC and Houston.

I rarely listened to this station but I remember always Hearing Cactus Jack on this station. Good luck on your future life.
