August ratings are here

August numbers: https://ratings.****************/content/arb033

KODA has been dropping while KKHH gains. The Spot is within striking distance.

KQBT is beating slower.

KRBE down a bit. Did those listeners go to KROI, which actually cracked into the low ones?

Astros appear to be helping 790. Meanwhile 97.5 sinks. Are the male 25-54 numbers still holding for Gow?

Always nice to see Classical with a pulse on KUHF HD2.

And the top streamer is a Classic Country format. And the OTA on 97.1 still does quite well for a rimshot.

.

Yes it has dropped in ratings, maybe it’s because THE BOX has been on air longer so they have faithful listeners that won’t flip to THE BEAT??

And maybe sports isn’t working for 97.5, maybe need to add some music with sports announcements every once in a while?

Also El Norte KQQK is getting better ratings than La Raza.

Is it because the programming or is it because El Norte is on KQQK? Would La Raza get more ratings if the changes to KQQK?

That's not it.

It would be stupid to go back to a music format with such a terrible signal.

Is...it because El Norte is on KQQK? Would La Raza get more ratings if the changes to KQQK?
Why would "La Raza" get better ratings on a slightly inferior signal?? Honestly, what kind of question is this???

If The Beat was previously higher, it means that those "faithful" Box listeners had already been sharing with The Beat. That The Beat has gone down indicates that the listeners they took seem to find the Box getting better and not so much The Beat.

Or it could just be summer sample wobble.

A legit question!

Why does it matter? Both are the same company. They go up and down due to sample, the competition and the quality of product in the two format variants.

Liberman does not care which one is ahead, just that they sustain numbers they can sell as a bottom-feeder.

A legit question!

How can you expect greater ratings by moving to an inferior facility?

And that is ignoring the fact that both would lose big audiences by flipping due to listener confusion.

I was asking because I remember when EL NORTE (Back when it was LA NORTEÑA) was on 850 am and 101.7. Then they moved it to 101.7 and 107.9.

So if they ever upgrade 103.3 FM will they keep the stations like they are already??

So why would they swap 107.9 with 98.5?? Are you trolling?

Only the leadership of the restructured LBI knows.

Only the leadership of the restructured LBI knows.

The real issue is that KJOJ will have to build an enormously expensive 2000' tower very near the coast in an era of increased storm activity where getting insurance may be too expensive or impossible.

And the gain is very little, mostly in Brazoria and Ft. Bend counties.

I do not think that the numbers support the building of the CP. Of course, with lenders calling the shots at LBI, who knows what they will do.

I don't think the 103.3 CP is going to ever get built either, at least under LBI ownership. We've literally been talking about this for close to 20 years.

More likely the restructured LBI unloads KEYH, KNTE and KJOJ and washes their hands of dead weight. I could see religious broadcasters getting 101.7 and 103.3, and 850 going Asian language. But I've been expecting that for years and nothing has changed.

KHJK Air 1

Does anyone know what happened to KHJK Air 1, did EMF stop subscribing to Nielsen ratings? Was it the format change that ran listeners off? I thought i read on here one time that KHJK was preforming better than expected when they first took over 103.7.

Their new signal, WPLJ New York also failed to register in the publicly released numbers, so they likely stopped subscribing.

That is correct. They are not subscribed in NYC.
