Bill Bidwill, 88, Arizona Cardinals owner

Their father Charles Bidwell was the original owner of the franchise when they were the Chicago Cardinals. The team moved from Chicago to St Louis in 1960.

Charles Bidwill Sr. bought the then-Chicago Cardinals from Dr. David Jones in 1933. Jones had bought the team from founder (in 1898, as the Morgan Athletic Club) Chris O'Brien in 1929. Charlie Bidwill died in 1947, and his wife Violet became owner. She died in 1962 and left the team to her sons Bill and Charles Jr, aka Stormy. Both of the Bidwill sons were adopted.

I stand corrected he was not the original owner.
