Radio Station Owner, Jose Arredondo - Goes Silent

Jose Arredondo - owner of radio stations KGEN AM / FM and KTIP AM has been found dead in his home in Mexico. Police have made an arrest. Arredondo was a car lot owner in Bakersfield and Fresno. He bought the Stations a short time ago and paid 800 K cash for KGEN and 300 K cash for KTIP in Porterville. All 3 stations broadcast Spanish Programming. KGEN AM had at one time a CP to relocate to Selma from Tulare. KGEN FM 94.5 (A) Hanford - Shares a tall tower with KGEN AM 1370. KTIP 1450 is a standalone AM in Porterville.

Jose died on July 16, 2019.
