Willy-FM 105.7

Noticed recently the old Max-FM now shows in digital readouts as "Willy-FM -- Alternative Classic Rock" But music was still straight-up 80s pop hits. Didn't hear any deejays, and dead air between songs. Did hear a few Spanish-lauguage ads (or PSA's). And signal strength was down from the Max days.

Does anyone know more about this new operation?

Where have you been? The lease from the mexican owners to the san diego oeprators ended almsot 10 months ago when they couldnt pay the fee anymore. There's a long thread on this

SomeRadioGuy. I'm well aware of what happened to Max-FM many months ago. But not a single person on the San Diego forum has mentioned the "Willy FM, San Diego's Alternative Classic Rock" branding.

"Willy FM"? It should read "Greedy FM", because the foreign owner is greedy for American dollars. And too bad he's not getting any dollars now!
