The Pacifica Director contends that the vote was illegal, because it included votes from Directors elected by WBAI.
Obviously a conflict in interest. This is why things have gotten so bad.
The Pacifica Director contends that the vote was illegal, because it included votes from Directors elected by WBAI.
Pacifica should cut out the cancer and sell WBAI if it hopes to sustain itself.
Pacifica is powerless to do anything because the board is controlled by WBAI members and allies. So they continue to spend money on the station that doesn't get repaid. The local station blames the debt on contracts Pacifica signed. But had Pacifica not intervened, the ESB would have foreclosed on the station's transmitter.
They ain't the federal government who can print the money.
So here's my final questions of the night. Maybe. What happens if Pacifica were to give away, close or "sell" the actual corporation that owns BAI and the other stations?
Here's the latest:
Update: MAJORITY OF #PACIFICA NETWORK BOARD VOTES TO RESTORE #WBAI But #NewYork’s iconic station
@WBAI still has no local control. What you hear on our frequency 99.5FM NY is NOT programmed by us.
Just sell the station and end it already.
Posted today by the PD of WBAI:
Fed Judge today said, “Public Good is at issue,” that there’s collateral damage by the failure to resolve differences with potential damage to #WBAI listeners and harm to fiscal solvency of @WBAI bec internal arm wrestling. He asks is there a settler?"
Answer: No. It's a never ending soap opera.

If half the back fighting and scheming is remotely true, this may well have the potential to be a high grossing movie. $4-8M.![]()
