New on Q 99-7

Looks like Q 99-7 is adding J.J. Kincaid to its jock lineup. He just announced on Facebook.

He was doing mornings in Denver until a few months ago. Afternoons on Z-100 NYC before that.

Not sure what shift he'll be taking -- afternoons? evenings? Either way, solid addition to the station. He's a good one.

If true, I'll be surprised that Cumulus will pay for such a premier talent. During the first few weeks of Power 96-1, J.J. voice-tracked afternoon drive. He was still at Z-100 back then.

Cumulus most likely have him VT a bunch of stations too. He could replace several on air people making him not so expensive, maybe lowering the total corporate expense of on air talent.

Rodney Ho wrote that Kincaid might be part of the new Kicks morning show. Cumulus programming honcho Brian Phillips told Rodney that "We'll find something for him (Kincaid) to do."
