One day after Radio Cantico has announced will buy walk 1370 . Wnyh has been dropped Radio Cantico . Now broadcasting Korean Christion broadcasts. KCBN . The station also simulcast on 102.7 SCA and WMBC-TV 63.6 . Www.kcbn.us

I checked out WNYH 740 AM this morning. They were airing an infomercial in Spanish. Then at 9 AM they started airing Radio Cantico. So the station is apparently brokered. When they switched to Radio Cantico, the ID took quite a while to list the various stations and translators that the religious broadcaster uses. Also mentioned was WNYH's translator on 100.7 FM.
Perhaps once they close on the additional stations they are acquiring on Long Island, R.C. will no longer feel the need to lease time on WNYH.

Yep. I heard Radio Cantico Nuevo after 11AM. Same programming on 740 and 1580, both coming in somewhat listenable up in Plainville, Connecticut on the car stereo in my 2010 Honda Civic.

WNYH has been airing a recorded announcement in Spanish at the top of each hour stating that Radio Cantico will no longer be rebroadcast on this station. Then there is a long list of other frequencies in Long Island and NJ that will still carry them.
Meanwhile, the Spanish religious broadcasts continue to air on WNYH, but from time to time during the past few days, the station has been going off the air. As Radio Cantico apparently owes the owner of WNYH a large sum of money (according to its recent Chapter 11 filing), I'm surprised that they haven't been taken off the station by now.

I hope wnyh return to oldies format

And station website no longer mentions wnyh am 740 and wnyg 1580 am

WNYH switched today from carrying Radio Cantico, to Korean Christian KCBN. When I heard it earlier this afternoon, the audio was rather poor.

Half the time when Radio Cantico was on WNYH they had poor audio. Only in the case of Radio Cantico it was overmodulated. The same with 1580 in Patchogue and back in the day 990 in Southington, CT.

While I don't understand any language other than English I can usually figure out what language is on a particular radio station. However the audio quality of whatever is running on WNYG 1580-AM now is so poor I couldn't identify the language being spoken.
