Sirius XM Indie apparently dropped coast to coast AM?

Was looking at this channels schedule recently and saw that the time slot coast to coast use to be in at night instead was the show Neil Degrasse Tyson Star Talk. When did this all go down?

Hey, there is only so much bandwidth available on those satellites. Out with the old, in with the new.

The repeating message tells us that Dave Ramsey and Chris Hogan have moved to Business Channel 132. The Business Channel used to be 24/7 from the Wharton School of Business but now has several of other business-related shows on weekdays not associated with the university. I wonder how many professors who also had business shows on the channel were told their shows have been cancelled?

Ramsey is also on Triumph Channel 111, so between 111 and 132, Ramsey is getting 10 hours of airtime each weekday plus a number of hours on weekends on 111. And Hogan is a Ramsey employee, so his hours are also controlled by Ramsey.

John Fugelsang's "Tell Me Everything" also went to another channel. I wasn't much of an Insight listener so I don't remember what other shows it used to carry.

I guess Sirius XM wants to use that channel for something else. I have the feeling there will be a place eventually for Coast to Coast AM, maybe whatever Insight becomes next.

A repeating announcement telling listeners where some of the shows formerly on the channel have gone.

You don't have a radio? You're not a subscriber? Why on earth do you care!?

Well if you read any of my past post you would see that I am a sirius subscriber and overpayed for a long time for it. But mostly the channels I listen to are Vivid Radio and sometimes Nancy Grace on Triumph.

Oh also faction talk sometimes when jim norton is on.

By the way, Sirius XM also got rid of Fox Talk Radio. Most of us didn't get it anyway. It was in the 700s. I recently got a car so I have all those channels for three months. I recently noticed Fox Talk was replaced with a sports program guide channel. It repeatedly tells us "Today, Alabama vs. Auburn on Channel xxx and Notre Dame vs. USC on Channel xxx."

Originally Fox Talk was on a regular channel but got moved to the 700s and now its gone completely. I'm not a fan of conservative talk so it's no loss. Originally Alan Colmes had a three hour liberal talk show on that channel when he was no longer on TV with Hannity. But Colmes died a few years ago. Fox only has three talk host on its roster anyway, repeating them over and over to fill a 24/7 schedule, plus Fox Radio News on the hour. So I suppose Sirius XM decided to end this channel.

You're kidrahul in disguise, right? I guess I missed where you said you subscribe, but my point stands: If you have an activated radio, why didn't you just punch up Insight's channel number and see for yourself what was being aired there instead of posting your question here? I understand that Vivid Radio's content can be addictive but surely you can tear yourself away from all that sex talk to check out the status of another channel for a few minutes, right?

I listen to vivid because it is funny and I just thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss on this thread about the insight channel being gone.

Wasn’t fox talk radio on Sirius channel 450 not in the 700s.

I only know of Vivid Radio by seeing it as I skim through the channel list.
Perhaps I should listen to it for a few minutes.
I have been with XM since early '02.

I will just warn you it is somewhat inappropriate and wouldn’t turn it on a speaker while at work.
