WJBR HD

In my 2019 Chrysler 300 my uconnect radio has a problem decoding WJBR HD signal but no problem with all other hd channels. It constantly says buffering. My Yamaha Ave receiver Andre Sony XDR Tuner have no problem decoding the hd signal. Anyone else have an issue with JBR?

Their main signal has been on and off a few weeks, with sporadic HD, plus the 2 and 3 have been off for months, same as WTDY, WKXW and a host of others, SMMFH....

All HD, whether main or HD2 or HD3 or HD4 is produced by one "transmitter" which creates the bandwidth that can be given entirely to the main HD, or split into adjustable portions of the bandwidth.

My radio started decoding their hd again since they started with an hd2 again. Since wjbr was the only station I had that issue with maybe it was how their transmitter sent out the hd1 by itself that my radio had a problem with

Their HD is back with no 3, the Spanish format is gone, the 2 is still carrying the 1 with a 2 second delay, they should put something worthwhile on it, like Italian programming 24/7 or Beasley Country, WXCY always does good in the Wilmington market for a distant signal. SMMFH...

Italian programming? I mean sure why not. But that seems a tad random, but I'd dig it.

The last significant immigration of Italians to the US ended in the pre-depression years of the 1920's.

Foreign language stations are principally used by first generation immigrants, and to some extent by second generation children of those immigrants.

The problem the Spanish language stations have is that a large percentage of area Hispanics are third generation now, and more are second generation. They are the children and grandchildren of the migrants of the Puerto Rican diaspora of the 50's and 60's, which pretty much ended before 1970

There is just no market for Italian language programming.

Probably also not much of a market for an all '80s channel that hasn't been updated since literally the minute it launched. LOL. At this point, I really don't understand why companies don't just turn off their side-channels. Unless they're being used for translator loophole purposes, it seems most have close to zero (if not zero) listeners and the owners put no effort into them at all.
