99.7 KFRC and 93 KYA

What ever became of disc jockey "JD" ? He started at "Young Country" and eventually moves to KFRC ofr a number of years.

Actually, I believe it was the opposite. "JD" (Jeff Dean, IIRC) was at KFRC first, as a solo act, then joined Cammy Blackstone on the morning drive show after Ron Parker left, then did Young Country. It's also possible he did both at the same time, as KYCY and KFRC were both owned by Infinity (CBS) for a period of time.
 
By '67 I was listening to 93.7 KGO and might not have even been aware it was happening.

I believe that KGO-FM was at 103.7 at that time. I don't recall that we ever had a 93.7 FM in the Bay Area, but you know how bad my memory is.

You are correct. For whatever reason I was thinking of KODS (Carnelian Bay/Reno).
