WDRC FM/AM Ford Expedition

They put a 102.9 Whale billboard on I95 in Milford. Seems like a waste of money because when they changed over to there directional antenna going down I95 there signal now starts degrading in West Haven. It used to go all the way down to Norwalk.

If the sign says "Hartford's Classic Rock," then it's doing its job. People on I-95 northbound and heading for the Hartford area via I-91 or the Wilbur Cross will have the station lodged in their (Friendly citation from the Grammar Police: This is the spelling of the possessive, not "there.") subconscious and might give it a listen once they get closer. People from the Hartford area headed south on 95 will be reminded of it yet again with another subconscious impression of the brand. Billboard advertising is not intended to be a call to immediate action.

Using a company vehicle for personal use?

Alot of stations allow their talent and sales people to use a stations logo'd/wrapped vehicle for personal use... happens all the time

Maybe that's why Connecticut State Police cars don't have the state seal on its body anywhere? I used to see a state police car parked at a home in Berlin all the time.

Making me think when WDRC-AM 1360 was advertising on the Berlin Turnpike southbound a few months ago. It was advertising an FM translator on 103.3 which nobody traveling towards Berlin and Meriden could possibly pickup.

Or, given the time of year, maybe picking up turkey and trimmings for the station's Thanksgiving spread?

We know 'DRC is in Bloomfield. The closest BJ's in in West Hartford. He couldn't go shopping in Bloomfield? MarcB said he saw the vehicle in Southington. Maybe a co-worker for Red Wolf Broadcasting that I know who lives in Southington was visiting 'NTY. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it.
