It is shocking how bad The WOW! Factor has been since the switch. It is languishing at the bottom of the rankings. Wonder how long ownership will let this failed experiment continue?

Is the station paying John Sebastian for his services or is he paying the station so his mad-scientist experiment with a music format for a broad range of advertiser undesirables can have a live laboratory to broadcast from? I assume he has found no more takers for the Factor; I'm sure the news would have been posted here if he had.

Not sure what you're saying. The fall of KNIX began at the end of the summer.

I'm saying that KEZ picked up a lot of shares from a lot of stations this month.

Then we throw away the Holiday book and see where everything shakes out after that.

And yes typically the country stations will give up some audience to Christmas music, but as I said, the downward spiral started in September.

The fact that both stations are now equal it pretty significant. KMLE will have their new morning show.

Quite a few NPR stations in major markets are doing quite well, and some are beating their FM commercial competition in news/talk (Seattle and Washington, D.C.) It'd be interesting to see daypart and demo breakouts of KJZZ and KTAR if someone about 350 miles due west of the Buckeye Media Hut would like to share.

If other stations wanted to implement a format like WOW, they don't need Sebastian. It's not that hard to plug in tired Moldy Oldies on shuffle. Without knowing what he promised ownership, it's safe to say they are not WOWED with a one share...

This is very true. Heck, even my IPHONE has a better selection of music because I actually get the original recordings of songs, not all the re-recordings and covers that I hear all the time on WOW! If you are going to commit to this format, go all in and get the original recordings that we all grew up listening to.
