Mary Dixon lands at WBEZ

WBEZ has finally hired a new morning anchor and it is Mary Dixon that 2 weeks ago was ousted by WXRT-FM, the Chicago Tribune's Robert Channick has the story that appears in today's Chicago Tribune, https://www.chicagotribune.com/busi...0200102-dl47y5sagfaodmuzm2wdopwkza-story.html . Now she will be succeeding Lisa Labuz, who will be moving to mid mornings on WBEZ. So far Robert Feder has yet to publish a report, and I am not sure how he has missed out on this story. She is starting training next week and is expected to hit the airwaves in February. And he is even using the words local host for Morning Edition, but I hesitant to use the words ash how can she be considered a host when all she is going to be doing is reading off the local Chicago news? As most of the speaking that will and has been heard on WBEZ are the national hosts that host the program.

Robert Feder finally got around to have a news story about Mary Dixon's hiring at WBEZ, which you can read at https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/01...steve-cortes-joins-wind-afternoon-host-today/ , it is the second news story in his Robservations column today.

SO now Monday is for first official day as the new morning anchor at WBEZ, if you prefer call her a local host, I don't prefer to call her that.
