Future Of The KLBJ-FM Morning Show?

Dale Dudley, from the KLBJ-FM morning show (Dudley & Bob, with Matt Show), has been hinting [for about the past week] that there will be a major announcement about their show in the next couple of weeks. He said their ratings are very bad right now.

They made the announcement at 7:30 AM today (01/15/2020).
The Dudley & Bob with Matt Show is moving to 3 PM to 7 PM in February.
LA Lloyd will be playing classic rock in the 6 AM to 10 AM time slot.

I just read LA Lloyd's bio on the KLBJ-FM website.
He has been in San Antonio so maybe some of you San Antonio people remember him.

BIO

LA Lloyd has been rocking Austin and San Antonio since 1995. He is the Program Director for KLBJ-FM but his favorite time of day is when he’s on air with his extended family of rockers. LA was the original afternoon personality for 101X and also did afternoons for legendary rocker 99.5 KISS in San Antonio where he was also the Program Director. On July 4, 2000, he began a new rock countdown called LA Lloyd's Rock 30 that was syndicated nationally by Dial-Global, New York City. The show (now known as the LA Lloyd Rock Countdown) is still on the air in over 30 cities including KLBJ-FM.

Lloyd returned to KLBJ-FM in January of 2013 and every weekday he hosts the "Happy Hour" with a 12-Pack of Rock commercial free rock to give you some relief from the traffic for the drive home. LA Lloyd is married to Kathi and they have two daughters, a yellow lab and a cockatiel. Life is good!

Update

Waterloo Media Rock 93.7 KLBJ-FM Austin morning hosts Dale Dudley, Bob Fonseca and Matt Bearden are moving to afternoons in February.

Dudley joined KLBJ-FM as morning host in 1993 with Fonseca joining him in 1998. Bearden would join the show as producer in 2009 and later was promoted to third host. The show will succeed KLBJ-FM Program Director LA Lloyd in afternoons. The station has yet to announce the remainder of its programming plans.

I think LA will do well in the morning, Dudley, Bob and Matt will make for an interesting drive home in horrific pm drive traffic.

Here is an update

KLBJ-FM/Austin is moving the "Dudley & Bob with Matt" show from the morning slot it's occupied since its inception 28 years ago to afternoon drive and will now air from 3-7pm, effective Monday, February 3. LA Lloyd, the station's Program Director and current afternoon host, will relocate his show, now branded "LA Lloyd's Morning Drive," to the 6-10am slot on the Classic Rock outlet.

"Austinites listen to the radio in their cars. Afternoon traffic is worse and afternoon commutes are longer. Now the drive home just got way more fun with Dudley & Bob with Matt -- and the boys get to sleep in for the first time in decades too," said Senior VP & Market Manager Scott Gillmore of KLBJ parent company Waterloo Media.
