KWDN CP to reduce power by half

Why is KWDN dropping from 50,000 to 25,000 watts day and 50,000 to 7,500 watts? Seems drastic.

A it's KDWN

B.) they are moving to the KXST 1140 site

c.) They are a grandfathered Class B.. meaning theyve been around so long everyone else has to protect them but when you move facilities/ you lsoe that status and they now have to protect others

Theyre still going to cover Las Vegas fine. in this digital/internet age, covering have the west doesnt mean much... gets them no advertisers and just costs them alot

Ah, so the 1140 site is the one you can see off to the right when you're going North on I-15 and turn onto 215 North of the city...wondered who that was..

They are still going to have the best AM signal in Las Vegas even with the reductions in power...
