TNT did a special where the NBA Pundits talk about how they reacted when they found out that Kobe's death is true. Yes and it was at the site of the Cancelled Lakers Game.
Shaq and to a certain extent the Lakers at first thought Kobe's death was a sick form of fake news but once Law Enforcement announce their investigation to the chopper crash then basically everybody in the NBA mourned

Matt Gutman has been suspended due to initial reports over the handling of Kobe Bryant's death.

ABC News has suspended chief national correspondent Matt Gutman over a false statement he made on-air Sunday following the death of Kobe Bryant.

Gutman had erroneously reported that all four of Bryant’s daughters were on board the helicopter that crashed into the hills of Calabasas. Bryant and his 13 year-old daughter Gianna were among nine people killed in the accident. Bryant’s other three children were not on board the aircraft.

“Reporting the facts accurately is the cornerstone of our journalism,” ABC News said in a statement. “As he acknowledged on Sunday, Matt Gutman’s initial reporting was not accurate and failed to meet our editorial standards.”

I am glad to see that they have such high editorial standards when it comes to accurately reporting the death of a famous basketball player and his family. Too bad they don't employ those same standards when besmirching a member of the Tea Party by falsely accusing him of murder, or purposely rigging a story against Toyota to imply their cars were unsafe when facts were proven to show otherwise. No suspension was deemed necessary by ABC in those cases.

I just watched the NBA Pundits talk about Kobe Bryant's death and their initial reactions. I heard some of the pundits mentioned that they initially heard that Rick Fox a former member of the LA Lakers was killed too in some of the reports until Rick Fox himself told all the other NBA Pundits that he was not in the Helicopter at the time of the crash.

There were 9 people on board that includes the pilot that were killed. And I saw the tribute from the other night that the Lakers did for Kobe Bryant as they had Usher, singing American Grace a violinist, and of course the video that played of him speaking. And of course the moment of silence, and then Lebron James spoke after Boyz to Me, 2 were his #8 jersey, and won wore his #24 jersey sang the national anthem. I am ot sure where they got his name from, but I am sure he had to been pretty surprised, that they had gotten his name from being on board, which is his way of saying, "I am still here I am not dead yet".
