Radio dot com "World Headquarters"

Am I the only one who, when KYW says that they're broadcasting from the "Radio dot com World Headquarters", think of the old local newspaper in the TV show "Green Acres" -- "The Hooterville World Guardian"?

The visual I get is a storefront in a beat-up strip center.

I *hope* it's being said tongue in cheek....

I think my gripe is with the word "World". Sounds just a bit pretentious. Again, unless it's meant tongue-in-cheek.

It's the world wide web. Things like Pandora and Spotify speak in terms of "global." Same thing.

Unless radio.com is geo-fenced to this country, they are accessible world wide.

AM/FM commercial radio excels at tackiness. This example is no exception!

This is an industry known for issuing self-aggrandizing press releases that often use the words "new heights" and "iconic."
