WWCO Translator

Not surprised, because I lost the signal once I got to Cheshire. Plus I've gotten WEIB's signal in Southington and Plainville, so I'm not surprised on this either.

The CP originally called for 99 watts from Meriden Mountain, but the translator went on the air with 250 watts from WWCO's tower in Waterbury.
 
At least you got 106.3 FM in Southington. Anywhere in downtown Springfield, MA? Forget it. I barely got any signal of it in the area of Amtrak/CT Rail/Greyhound. Even with my Walkman's LOCAL/DX switch on LOCAL (displays as "CITY"), it, along with 1/3 of the dial was stepped on by WMAS-FM 94.7 of Enfield/Springfield. It doesn't help that their short tower with plenty of power is close by, near the I-91/I-291 interchange.

I'm guessing that their Kool Oldies translator, 100.1 FM, must be on that same tower. The signal was stable and not being stepped on by WMAS-FM. The only other station not getting stepped on was WAQY-FM 102.1 (Rock 102) of Springfield.
 
Too bad that repeater doesn't support stereo unlike the 107.3 translator.
