Stephen Clark Out at WOMC

He's leaving a career in broadcasting to pursue one in country music? At his age? He must be kidding. Unless he has a rich friend somewhere, I don't see it happening. There are a lot of well known country music stars his age who are now doing radio & TV shows because their music career has slowed down. Trisha Yearwood has been hosting a show on the Food Network. Trace Adkins does a show for Sirius. Sounds like a mid-life crisis to me.

I suspect he signed a two year contract and the station may have wanted to make a change and this is how he framed it. He made really good money for many years on local TV so I think the singing angle is more like a retirement hobby. If something comes of it, he'll be pleased but, if not, he's already planned his retirement income. That's my take on it anyway.
