Yup. I think it should be federally required every hour or even twice per hour to air CDC or local authority PSAs on COVID-19.
An employee at Hulu’s offices in Santa Monica has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the employee in question immediately began self-isolation once they started experiencing symptoms. The individual is said to be recovering at home. Anyone else in the office who came into contact with the person has been informed, with those employees now required to also self-isolate and begin working from home immediately.
The floors that those Hulu offices take up in that office building are now closed and undergoing a deep cleaning. Other Hulu offices in the area are not technically closed, but staffers will still be asked to work from home going forward. Most employees began working from home last week.
The news comes as most of Hollywood and major parts of the U.S. continue to grapple with the fallout from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Studios, networks, talent agencies, and other entertainment businesses have all begun closing down offices and asking or requiring employees to work from home to help contain the spread of the virus.
The 2020 IHeartRadio Music Awards have been postponed as people continue to hunker down amid the coronavirus outbreak. The annual trophy show, which was set to air live on Fox, has been set for March 29 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The venue is closed for all events until at least the end of the month.
Organizers said online voting for the awards will continue until 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Monday, March 23, with Best Fan Army balloting continuing until noon ET March 27. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter, but IHeartMedia and Fox said they “plan to reschedule at the appropriate time.”
With the cancellation of the Ultra Music Festival set to be hosted this upcoming weekend in Miami, SiriusXM will host a virtual version of the festival on channel 52 starting on Friday, March 20 at 5pm.

Maybe that was a bad idea on my part. Apologies.
None of us really know what's going to happen, and I think radio will hopefully be a good escape route and calming method for a lot of people.
Whatever the federal gov't calls for, it's their call however, but maybe my idea was not so great.
Been hearing NAB COVID-19 PSAs on a couple of FM stations, including KXLY 99.9, which came in for a brief period yesterday. I assume these PSAs are voluntarily being added to the spotload by station owners.
iHeartMedia/Cleveland has announced a commitment to air over 10,000 Public Service Announcements (PSAs) through April 30 across its nine stations to help local citizens and community organizations during the coronavirus outbreak. The PSAs will raise awareness and encourage listeners to engage with various local organizations including the Cleveland Food Bank, The Salvation Army, The City Mission and Providence House.
"iHeartMedia Cleveland's commitment to the community is unwavering, and our community and neighbors need us more than ever," said iHeartMedia's North Ohio Region President Keith Hotchkiss. "We look forward to shining a spotlight on many worthy local organizations that serve so many people in our community."
Many stations – including WXTU/Philadelphia; KNCI/Sacramento; KXKT/Omaha; KRWQ/Medford, OR and WJVL/Janesville, WI – have introduced on-air and online content connecting local businesses with their audiences. Restaurants offering to-go and delivery options, small stores still open for business and others are able to utilize station assets to inform listeners of current availability in order to keep money moving through the community.
