When is WGBH-TV going to boost their transmitter power to 34 kW? Is the power increase taking place this month? I would suspect that after the power boost that the SD signals of WGBH and WGBX will go off the air.
According to rabbitears.info, the CP for WGBH to increase its power expires on 04/03/2020. Has that been extended?
They don't appear to have filed any recent requests, not yet approved. I'm sure the date on rabbitears.info is correct as of now.
All they needed were additional transmitter power amp modules, which were said to be on order a couple of months ago. And perhaps manufacturer support to install them.
According to a post on the avsforum from WGBH, the long awaited power increase was implemented today:

However, it still cannot be received at all from east of Providence, and the SD channels of WGBH and WGBX main channels- 2.2 and 44.2 are still on at RF32.
It is not likely to give good reception to anyone not already receiving it at least marginally already.
