QVC-2 reduces live programming to one hour a day

How much extra money do these other channels bring in. They are selling the same products. Seems like it costs more for overhead.

Perhaps the cooking shows can be done without cooking any food so no food would be wasted on the set.

I wonder if QVC will eventually suspend TV operations except for prerecorded programming. With the virus continuing to spread and no end in sight, I don't think QVC/HSN TV services will be essential. Online can continue. You definitely don't want the older hosts to get COVID-19. I don't think it would look right for all the hosts to broadcast from a Skype/Zoom connection from home and showcase items that they can't even model.

The only way they shut down is if someone in the building tests positive.

Last I saw, the combined revenue from QVC and HSN was in the seven billion dollar range, much of that from TV. Remember, there is much more than just what you see on TV. Products featured on TV and on line are also shipped to customers through their fulfillment centers, which is also charged to the product supplier.

QVC2 is showing live programming from 6 PM until 10 PM daily, including the 9 PM QVC2 Big Deal.

They made that change last week. Forgot to post about it. Unless she previously recorded it, they're going to be live til Midnight this Friday. Mary D'Angelis mentioned on social media that she would be hosting a "Special Edition" of "In the Kitchen with Mary" Friday Night til Midnight on QVC2.

Due to fears of COIVD-19, QVC-2 has reduced its number of live hours from twelve hours a day to just one hour a day - 9PM-10PM Eastern so they can do a Live Presentation of the QVC-2 Big Deal. Meanwhile the main QVC channel remains live 20 hours a day 7AM-3AM Eastern.

So what about HSN 2? Are they live still most of the day? Nobody seems to care about it just QVC2.

I have to wonder how long HSN stays on the air before they just take the best talent and move them to QVC.

We lowly end users are not privy to the sales performance of either network. Maybe HSN is serving shopaholics with a different set of buying preferences from QVC's addicts.

HSN to me always seemed like the cheaper bargain basement products. While QVC was always more upscale. They are both racing to stay with Amazon at this point tho.

Grandmothers and fixed-income shut-ins aren't online in great numbers. There's still a window of relevance for TV home shopping that won't be closing soon.
