Connecticut Radio Notes

Here are some notes from different Connecticut stations.

Entercom:

Hot 93.7 WZMX

Nancy Barrow who has been WZMX's Morning Show co-host since the late 1990s (pre-dating the current Hip-Hop format) was doing the 3PM-6PM shift Saturday 3/21.

DJ Buck who is WZMX's morning show co-host plus Music Director was running the board during the Saturday Night Mix Show until 2AM Sunday Morning.

Lite 100.5 WRCH

Mike Stacy who is the co-host of the WRCH Morning Show was doing an on-air Shift on Saturday 3/21. He doesn't usually do weekend shifts.

Allan Camp who is the co-host of the WRCH Morning Show (and I think he's the Music Director) was hosting the Sunday Morning Smooth Jazz Show this morning filling in for Greg Roche. Allan usually doesn't do weekend shifts.

Full Power Radio:

DJ Red who does Middays on Bomba Radio has been posting pictures on his social media of himself wearing gloves while on air. He also regularly does appearances at night clubs and with night clubs locked down he did a mix on Facebook Live last night.

Amy Grey who co-hosts the morning Show on Radio 104.1 in Hartford, does middays on US Country 99.5 in the New London Market (as Wendy London) - Voice Tracked, and Saturdays 10AM-3PM (Voice-Tracked) on Kool Radio posted a picture on her social media of John Fuller attempting to take her temperature with a thermal scan thermometer at the station in Bloomfield.

Alan is broadcasting from his home in Southington now.

BTW I hear a rumor a big WRCH personality was let go today. I don't want to name the person as I dont know if its public yet.

Well I guess the person who was unfortunately let go was Dean Richards.

He seemed to release the information himself on his Twitter account.

My understanding is that Delilah will air all night on WRCH, replacing Pillow Talk.

Nancy Barrow was let go from WZMX. She'd been doing mornings on WZMX for 22 years.

She started as a Sebastian's Sidekick when WZMX was Classic Hits "93.7 The 70s Station". They evolved to 93-7 The Point playing Rock and Roll from the 50s-Present (which at time was 1998). Then WZMX flipped to Infinity Broadcasting's version of the Jammin' Oldies format as "Dancin' Oldies, Z-93.7" - Sebastian was laid-off Nancy was kept on in the morning and was then teamed up with JD Houston. I remember they did a few TV commercials for the station together. They flipped to hip-hop in March 2001 and she and JD were kept on in morning drive before JD was let go and replaced by DJ Buck from HOT 106 in Providence.

Was he furloughed or fired outright? I wonder how the ratings do in the evenings with Delilah on earlier.
