It still is. Unless you think WEEI in Boston has eclipsed it?

Everyone in radio is having money issues, from New York all the way down the market ladder to Cadiz, Kentucky. We're seeing the sharpest decline in advertising, probably ever -- with no real idea when it might turn around.

I don't get that, with more people working from home Google should be doing more business. People are not stopping internet usage, in fact it should be going up.

All the stores are closed. They've all laid off their employees. Why advertise for customers when their stores are closed?

Most people will be shopping online, like they have been for the past few years. You have more eyeballs on their computers than ever before.

Regardless, advertising has dropped, and ad-supported media is being hurt. As a result, no money to pay people.

I don't know about anybody else, but I haven't seen any advertising from eBay, Google, or Amazon.

Television audiences are up too. People have more time because of unemployment and shutdowns. Despite that, television broadcaster Tegna today announced it was furloughing all its employees for a week on a rolling basis. Higher audiences don't necessarily mean revenue.

So what does this say about the future of network TV. When times are good ratings are down as people are watching Cable or Netflix. Now that ratings are up revenues are down.

Revenues are down because businesses are closed. Has nothing to do with TV or ratings.

And when times are good and everything is open people are not watching network TV. Seems like a lose lose situation.

It depends on the show. As a bulk attractor of audience, net TV is strong. Nobody's getting out of the net tv business.
