Facebook will take down some, posts promoting anti-stay-at-home COVID-19 protests

It should be Coronavirus liars, or murders if anyone does because of their stupidity.

Now the PR division of Lysol is on the defensive after they found out that the company was trending for the wrong reasons. Yes its because of the White House press conference. Now state poison control centers and health departments warn the public not to take Lysol on their twitter and facebook pages.

WASHINGTON — The manufacturer of Lysol, a disinfectant spray and cleaning product, issued a statement warning against any internal use after President Donald Trump suggested that people could get an "injection" of "the disinfectant that knocks (coronavirus) out in a minute."

"As a global leader in health and hygiene products, we must be clear that under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body (through injection, ingestion or any other route)," a spokesperson for Reckitt Benckiser, the United Kingdom-based owner of Lysol, said in a statement to NBC News.

"As with all products, our disinfectant and hygiene products should only be used as intended and in line with usage guidelines. Please read the label and safety information," the statement continued, adding that the company believes it has a "responsibility in providing consumers with access to accurate, up-to-date information as advised by leading public health experts."

Even Trump should be held legally responsible if anyone dies because of his comments. That has to rank as one of his stupidest comments ever since he was elected.

https://www.timesheraldonline.com/2020/04/24/coronavirus-solano-shelter-at-home-order-extended/

Solano Public Health officials are asking the community to stay put a bit longer for the good of the community.

On Friday night, the county’s shelter-at-home order was extended through May 17.

Exceptions include getting food, caring for another person, seeking necessary health care and, if considered an employee of an essential business, going to work.

The extension is in line with the governor’s orders and works to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the community, officials advised.

My Speculation for why Solano County, CA expanded the shelter in place orders to mid-May was to possibly make way for a spike in cases after Monday's protest in Downtown Sacramento after protesters went downtown to protest the Mask Orders and Shelter in Place orders. They feared that they might have to make way for possible COVID-19 cases from Sacramento and Solano and the other counties surrounding Sacramento are on standby just in case Sacramento area hospitals get jammed over COVID-19 cases due to protests downtown.

I bet other states are probably thinking the same to expand their shelter in place orders after their state capitals had their protests for the same reasons as seen here in California. I expect spikes at State Capital cities to happen and the surrounding counties having to respond to the fallout at their hospitals though.

We really won't know because the incubation period is 14 days. So just about the time the stay at home rules expire, we may see a spike. Or maybe not. Who knows? Let's ask Hannity.

There were protests today in Georgia IN FAVOR of retaining the stay at home rules, and not opening the state, as ordered by Governor Kemp:

Polls being done show a majority, over 60%, and as high as 70%, in favor of keeping the rules until we know something more about how this disease works.

During the Nixon presidency, his VP Spiro Agnew used to call protesters the "vocal minority," and the rest of the country the "silent majority." That appears to be the case now.

Yes I saw a story where a poll claimed that 55-65% of Republicans actually supported Mask orders and shelter in place orders by their respective Governors but that varies on local news outlets though. I just didn't know how to explain this in a way that fits radiodiscussions though given that major outlets like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Discord and Twich.tv has to determine what is free speech and what is considered a threat to life according to state laws though.

That's the problem. The internet and social media gives everyone an equal voice. The power of the platform has been equalized. So the smallest fringe group has access to the same platform as the largest, most popular political parties. The traditional leaders don't know how to deal with that, and the owners of those platforms are unable to control them. Someone like David Koresh and his Branch Davidians could do some real damage if they existed today. And in a way, they do.

Nuts like the anti-vaxxers and the ones who are behind the protests will be doing damage if anyone gets the coronavirus because of it and if anyone dies, and they should be held responsible if that happens.

That's a great theoretical conversation to have, but hard to actually carry out. There is one case being discussed where someone coughed in someone's face on purpose. There might be a case there, depending on how its presented. But you can't prevent people from public protest if they do it safely. Because there's a 14 day incubation period, its hard to trace someone's sickness to a protest, and then you'd have to find the specific person who caused the sickness to spread. Its the proverbial needle in a haystack.

One of the counties in California just did that, Solano County health director just issued that extension of the shelter in place orders up to May 17th. Yes this is especially when there are rumors going around of potential spikes in COVID-19 cases as a result of a group protesting against the "Mask Order" and "Shelter in place orders" at the state capital. Even the city of San Francisco is currently in debates on extending mask and shelter in place orders.
I don't know for now how many other states, counties and cities will do the same thing California is doing but this is expected though in other places at some point though.

Update in California they detained one of the leaders of the COVID-19 Shelter in place protests at least for sending people to Downtown San Diego and violate social distancing orders of California. The leader in the allegations is also filing a lawsuit against Governor Newsom for the Mask and Shelter in Place orders in California.

A woman who organized last weekend's protest in downtown San Diego opposing stay-at-home orders due to the coronavirus is facing arrest and possible misdemeanor charges that could result in 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine, the woman and her attorneys said Wednesday.

Naomi Israel, 27, was one of hundreds who demonstratively opposed California's stay-at-home orders during a "Freedom Rally" Saturday afternoon in front of the Hall of Justice.

Israel is being represented by the Center for American Liberty, a nonprofit organization that has also challenged the state's stay-at-home order on various fronts, including filing a lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom last week for prohibiting in-person church services.

Israel took to Facebook on Wednesday to discuss the case, writing "I will be arrested on Sunday for exercising my constitutional rights."

Yes and her facebook records will be used against her due to the COVID-19 scare. Now there will be questions over Spike in deaths over COVID-19 in San Diego and Sacramento because of the protests. Do any of the leaders of the COVID-19 protests understand why some Mayors and County executives in California have extended their Shelter in place orders as in the case of Solano County they did that recently because they might have to deal with a spike in cases after a similar protest in Downtown Sacramento and some of the COVID-19 patients might have to leave Sacramento and go to surrounding counties like Solano for medical reasons just in case the hospitals in Sac County gets jammed.

She thinks she has a constitutional right to send people to their death.

She doesn't understand there are ways to protest and express free speech without physically being together. Same with religion. When you have an option, it doesn't interfere with your rights. Martin Luther King and Gandhi learned this a long time ago.

https://www.cbs17.com/community/hea...leader-says-she-tested-positive-for-covid-19/

Update now the leader of the North Carolina protests over Mask and Shelter in Place orders has been tested positive for COVID-19. Wait until the State of North Carolina decides to use the leaders account as evidence in a court case for "Shelter In Place" and Mask Order Violations.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A leader of the ReOpen NC group revealed in a Facebook post that she tested positive for COVID-19.

Audrey Whitlock posted to the ReOpen NC Facebook page early Sunday saying her two-week quarantine was ending. She described herself as an “an asymptomatic COVID19 positive patient.”

Whitlock is one of the administrators of the ReOpen NC Facebook page – which has helped organize two protests in downtown Raleigh calling for Gov. Roy Cooper to lift his stay-at-home order.

In Whitlock’s post, she wrote about how the restrictions put in place amid the COVID-19 pandemic are violating her First Amendment rights as well as her 5th and 14th Amendment rights.

She said she was “forced” to quarantine which violated her First Amendment rights.

Once again these protesters have many options to register their views without potentially infecting other people. Other people have rights too. They can sue her if she infects them. Does she want to open herself for a lawsuit and possible murder charges?

That's why having Facebook remove their posts can be problematic. But they can't have it both ways. They can't use Facebook to incite others to break the law if they also want to use Facebook as a platform for protest.

It serves the protest leader in NC right to end up with the coronavirus. but she'll probably had the attitude if she's asymptomatic that she doesn't have to stay in. in a case like that she needs to be arrested and put away where she can't get out or near anyone else that she could endanger. As far as taking their posts down why couldn't Facebook take them offline where they can't be seen by the public but keep records of them as proof.

Now a youtube pundit has falsely accused an innocent person for COVID-19. In this article the Pundit accused of spreading conspiracy theories of COVID-19 has accused three innocent people for being the start of COVID-19. Its not only facebook that has to deal with COVID-19 conspiracy theorists sparking protests around the USA. In this article Youtube has to deal with the same issue. Now it becomes an issue of how many innocent people will either end up killed with COVID-19 or face other safety issues due to these conspiracy theories.

Maatje Benassi, a US Army reservist and mother of two, has become the target of conspiracy theorists who falsely place her at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, saying she brought the disease to China.

The false claims are spreading across YouTube every day, so far racking up hundreds of thousands of apparent views, and have been embraced by Chinese Communist Party media. Despite never having tested positive for the coronavirus or experienced symptoms, Benassi and her husband are now subjects of discussion on Chinese social media about the outbreak, including among accounts that are known drivers of large-scale coordinated activities by their followers.

The claims have turned their lives upside down. The couple say their home address has been posted online and that, before they shut down their accounts, their social media inboxes were overrun with messages from believers of the conspiracy.
