Man, the virius really hurt CHR ratings, wild 94.9 at an all-time low. With how good 94.5 Bay FM's ratings it seems like 103.7 should think of going back to Classic Hits.

This is situational---directly related to changed behavior during the pandemic and stay-at-home. If the patterns become a new normal, then KYLD (and all the other contemporary music stations that took a hit this book) will need to look at big changes. But if we are slowly returning to normal and people are going back to commuting and listening at work, the old listening patterns may return to some degree as well.

Agreed! San Francisco needs a Classic Hits station. We have without one ever since KFRC flipped to an All-News simulcast of KCBS several years ago!

Technically iHeart '80s *is* a Classic Hits station, it's just that all the hits are from one decade

(And most Classic Hits formats these days are playing less and less '70s anyway)

Unfortunately, i-heart 80s is over burn playlist. They should revert back to their old Classic Hits format which is Big 103.7 or The Bay's 103.7fm instead of iHeart 80s. I remember their playlist was a lot broader and not just focus on the 80s decade. Also, I see lots of i-heart 80's 103.7 sings on billboards, and bus shelters.

Unfortunately, i-heart 80s is over burn playlist.

That situation would be improved by them playing current songs performed by artists who had hits in the 80s. Aerosmith is still recording new music. I think that would freshen a lot of stale classic stations. But that's just my opinion.
