WECK Furloughs

So...Buffalo is open for business. That means businesses will be advertising again.
Let's hear how long you think it will take Buddy to bring back his furloughed airstaff. (Except, of course for Danny who is still smarting over being kicked to the curb - based on his call-ins to his pal Sandy Beach.)

Not really. We've been "open" 2+ weeks where I'm at and advertising has barely recovered.

I didn't know Dan Neaverth (or is it Junior) lived in West Seneca...

There's a lot of radio staff experiencing furloughs or working from home. There were also a lot of people outright fired - particularly by iHeart and Entercom nationwide. I sure wouldn't want to be responsible for bringing 70+ year old talent into a facility like a radio station unless I had enough room to give them each their own studios that could be deep-cleaned each day. Sounds really expensive to me. It's not exactly like everybody is open for normal business. The folks who are able to open aren't exactly getting streams people looking to spend gobs of money they've been saving during this event. Even as we move to phase 2, 3, 4, whatever, it's going to be a slow process. Businesses need to get back on their feet before they're going to be able to put a lot of money into advertising.
