Variety Hits? Guns & Roses into Notorious BIG
Big 103. Jockless for now. Sounds sort of like Jack without the Jack name.
From the Entercom press release:
"The variety hits station on 103.3 FM will boast a vast music library spanning multiple music genres from the 1980’s 1990’s and 2000’s and feature artists like Guns N’ Roses, Prince, Journey, Madonna, Pearl Jam, The Notorious B.I.G., AC/DC, Britney Spears and Blink-182, among others."
The station will also offer limited commercial interruptions with the "2-Minute Promise" not to stop the music for more than two minutes, and is running jockless for the launch.
Im guessing Los Angeles is the only Amp Radio station left, eh?
Also, the Radioinsght article updated with the songs heard on the first hour.
AMP in LA is on borrowed time.
AMP in LA is on borrowed time.
The issue is "what format?" as pretty much everything is covered or overlapped in LA already. And certainly nobody is looking at the last two months' Nielsens for guidance.
At this point, any decisions are likely based on September to November 2019 numbers.
I'm surprised they didn't move The Cove to 103.3. I think that would done well and it wouldn't hurt Magic 106.7. I know it was time for Amp to go. As for Amp listeners they'll go to Kiss and sister Mix along with Hot and Jam'n.
