KCFZ 93.3 Fresno

KCFZ 93.3 is playing a variety of classic hits, Rock, Country, and pop hits, I always thought this was a pirate but is now listed on Radio-Locator, transmitter Freeway 180 and Willow, 50 watts.

They are on, a mix of 50s, 60s, and 70s oldies, classic Rock, they sound better than KKDJ, not just the same music the Fox plays lol

Jeez, KKDJ gets brought up again.

There's nothing to see here folks, lets just move along. lol

This thread should be removed, I don't know how to do that lol, KCFZ is not on the air yet, I was getting E-skipping Dxing on my outdoor directional antenna and it wasn't KZOZ SLO or KNTO Chowchilla.

this leads me to believe someone here is involved in the pirate if they all of a sudden want this thread gone

Seems odd for the FCC to even allow an LPFM on 93.3, due to KZOZ-FM being just over the hills in San Luis Obispo. KZOZ's bleed-in to the Central Valley is significant. I've picked it up in Bakersfield, Fresno, and as far north as Patterson.

Yes KZOZ is something that used to be easy to get in the 90s in Fresno, but KNTO serving Madera, Merced, Modesto, no way the here KZOZ in Patterson, and In Lemoore there is KGAR 93.3 Tiger Radio wow, 96 watts, with my directional antennas I have received KZOZ after KNTO went on the air.

SLO is likely too far to prevent a Fresno LPFM from being on a channel. KGAR-LP/Lemoore is also too far to prevent a co-channel LPFM.

KCFZ filed a resumption of operations late last month.

It looks like KCFZ LP got FCC approval for a change of transmitter site to go to Sunnyside Country Club area. A bit east of Clovis Av and North of Butler. 36 43 47N 119 41 39W

KCFZ-LP filed on 04/29/2020 a license to cover at this new site. Sounds like another false application. How long before they file for silent authority again saying the transmitter died, the tower fell down etc?
