Cnn abandons pandemic

OK, sure. I graduated with a communications degree from a major college. I also had the opportunity to work in media for 35+ years. I don't understand how important news gets discarded over more "flash" news. Oh, wait...I actually do. But it doesn't make it right. But this is an argument for the ages, and one that traditionalists will never win. Sigh.

Media journalism is not in business to report the actual news. They are in business to make money. That's the one thing they forgot to tell us in college when we took those courses.
 
In theory, yes.

In practicality too. There are lots of people employed at these places. Some do one thing, others do another. It's their job.

"The actual news" is whatever you want it to be. It can be anything, from someone's kid graduating school to the Koreans dropping a bomb.

The world is filled with variables. Your job is to find the combination of news and money that suits you.
