I think that blondes are out in this market. Stephany Fisher, formerly WGCL, is now doing PR work for MARTA.

A couple of years ago, CBS46 had a blonde political reporter by the name of Giovanna Drpic. When Sharon Reed was at the station, sometimes she would call Giovanna “Gio” for short. Where is Giovanna now? Back in the fall of 2018, Giovanna left CBS46 to move to Houston, TX. Not too long before she left for Houston, there was a weekend where KSU (Kennesaw State University) was having a college football game that got televised on Peachtree TV WPCH 17. The game had a rain delay, therefore, it didn’t finish in time for CBS46 News at 9PM. The game finished at 9:55 PM. Mike Dunston came in to anchor like he usually did on weekend evenings. Giovanna came in to be a guest co-anchor. The 2 personalities were only on for 5 minutes. How sad. That particular weekend, I think Giovanna came in because she was filling in for former anchor & reporter Kim Passoth. They could have just done the 9PM newscast for the full 10PM hour, but did they? No, instead, they aired back-to-back syndicated reruns of Modern Family. Eventually, Kim Passoth left because she wanted to move back to California. Ever since Kim left, the folks at CBS46 have been having Brittany Miller anchor Saturday evenings in the interim and Alicia Roberts anchor Sunday evenings in the interim until they can find somebody who can work both Saturday nights & Sunday nights. When I found out that Giovanna left, I was disappointed because she never really got to prove whether or not she would make a good fill-in anchor. I emailed Lyle Banks about this at the time. He told me that the KSU football contract on Peachtree TV had nothing to do with Giovanna leaving. She wasn’t fired. She left on her own terms. Lyle told me that during her time at CBS46, she was a class act. I agree with him. Why did Giovanna leave for Houston? She left for Houston because she wanted to be closer to her family. So what is Giovanna doing now now that she’s in Houston? Giovanna is a reporter for CBS Newspath. Of course, if she ever makes on-camera appearances in in-field reports for CBS News, it’s very, very rare. I only saw her make an on-camera appearance in an in-field report once. But that’s okay. Now that Mike Dunston is gone, from what I’ve observed, it looks like once CBS46 can have both co-anchors in each of their newscasts work at the anchor desk and not have to practice social distancing anymore, they’ll have Carolyn Ryan permanently take Mike’s place on both Saturday nights & Sunday nights. They’re already having her do her in-field reports in afternoons & evenings during the week. I think it’ll be awesome. Carolyn & Alicia know how to glow when they’re on during their respective times. Brittany Miller knows how to glow, too. It would be girl power on Saturday nights: Carolyn Ryan/Brittany Miller/Molly McCollum (weather)/Emily Gagnon (sports). On Sunday nights, it would be: Carolyn Ryan/Alicia Roberts/Molly McCollum (weather)/Fred Kalil (sports).
Are blondes out in this market? I disagree. Anyway, that is all.
